A single-head stethoscope is used to listen to body sounds like the heart, lungs, or intestines. It's ideal for general use and for specialists like cardiologists who need to monitor subtle heart rhythms. To use it, place the earpieces facing forward into your ears, hold the chestpiece against the skin, and apply pressure to hear different frequencies. 

An aneroid blood pressure (BP) apparatus is used for manually measuring blood pressure. It works by using a manual air pump to inflate an arm cuff, and a pressure gauge (the aneroid dial) to show the pressure, which is read in conjunction with a stethoscope to listen for the pulse. These devices are often seen in clinical settings, but are also used at home due to their portability and reliability.  

A cardiologist uses a stethoscope to perform auscultation, listening to a patient's heart and lung sounds to assess cardiovascular and respiratory health. They listen for heart rate, rhythm, and abnormalities like murmurs, and also evaluate lung sounds for issues like wheezing or fluid. The usage involves placing the diaphragm or bell of the stethoscope on the chest in specific locations and sometimes using it with a sphygmomanometer to measure blood pressure.
